Brake pads for the following Vari Calipers :
for High Performance street applications
in VARI RACING SP2 ( Sports Pads ) OR ALTERNATIVELY Bendix SRT
our Vari SP2 compound is our equivalent to high performance compounds such as Bendix SRT compound Pads
and is specifically formulated to be low dust and quieter than our track day compound .
This is the compound that is supplied to 70% of our Boxed kits customers as their 1st set of pads , and has proven to
be most popular with our customers who really only intend to use their vehicles on the street for high performance driving
and if they do choose to attend any roll racing type event and limit their runs to say only 2 high speed runs in a row before pitting and allowing the brakes to cool down.
Anyone planning to regularly attend Track day events or circuit racing events is better off fitting our STR compound and having only slightly dustier but more resilient track Performance.
for Sprint type /track day events or Hill Climbs
in VARI RACING STP ( Sport Track Pad ) OR ALTERNATIVELY Project Mu Club Racer PCR0
Our Vari STP compound is our inhouse developed equivalent to track day compounds such as Project Mu PCR 09 club racer compound
and other reputable race compound offerings such as Ferrodo DS 2500.
We are able to supply you with Project Mu PCR 09 compound pads to suit our caliper range but have extensive feed back from
some of our regular Sprint race customers that report our Vari STP compound Pads to compete very favorably and closely match the PCR09 compound
but at a near 40 % cost saving.
( our finding is that our STP compound covers more than 80 % of our track day type customers needs with only the very high powered and extremely well sorted
dedicated full race vehicles and drivers ever really needing to move up to the much more aggressive Project Mu H16-03 used by the likes of v8 supercars in the recent past )

( Project MU H16-03 compound ) in ( Full race pad / previous V8 supercar compound ) .
Please note , these should only be used on full race cars and will generally not be suited for short hill climbs or sprint type racing.
This compound has been found to be a suitable upgrade from our Vari Racing STP pad compound , by some of our more
serious Full Race customers ,with high horsepower full caged race cars , with very well sorted suspensions and specializing
in Endurance type races where race durations are considerably longer than the normal 10 to 12 laps of sprint type race events.
(ie if you find our VARI STP pads are starting to fade and having their performance drastically start to drop off any where after say 6 to 10 laps of circuit racing then
you likely better off moving up to this more aggressive Project MU H16-03 compound which was the control compound for the previous v8 supercar series just a couple of seasons back )

Temp Range = 90 – 700 deg C Temp Range = 90 – 785 deg C
No noise / very low Dust occasional noise at very low temp only / some dust
High performance street use Excellent Track day pad ( works very well from cold)

Full Race compound = Project Mu ( H16-03 COMPOUND ) ( This is for our All out Full Race customers looking to do Endurance Circuit Racing in all out track machines ) ( This is the outgoing ” V8 Super Car ” control compound to put things in Perspective ) this compound is not suited to short sprint Races or to light vehicles that can not get the pad up to operating temperature in less than say 2 or 3 laps of a race course.
