2017 Bathurst (12 Hour) Improved Production – Race 2

Take a good look at what car control under braking looks like  25: 52 min into the Video Clip, and at the top of the mountain no less,  the Clift Brothers Racing team makes drivers with some Big Cajons as they say in Espanola.

And with a bit of luck, we will have you on some more rotor-friendly Pads for the next big race.

Thanks to the whole team for the hospitality at their Pit lane Camp site ,

** Note:  The team has run our discontinued branding and logo  Version of our  Full Race 617 FR calipers up front and our some non-matching first Gen 618 SL  low vol VARI  rear Calipers but will soon be running a revised Front and rear Upgrade in the form of a full custom 2 Piece Rotor Set Up developed in conjunction with the pros at BHSS / TBS Capalaba.

This is how to pass someone under braking ……… buy leaving it till the last millisecond….

This guy Jordan Cox and his antics had the crowd on its feet and cheering the big guys just couldn’t fight him off through the curves at the top of the mountain, while there is always something to be said about light nimble cars and power to weight ratios in small cars , the team at Bargwanna &Sons had one hell of a well sorted package and the Team Mechanic Certainly knows a thing or two about set up, oh and the youngster might know a thing or two about throwing a car into corners.

The boys from Hurford Racing about to attack Bathurst for the first time ever , and the BMW E 36  Coupe’ has all its shiney bits spick and span and ready to go …… including the VARI Race Brakes  617 Full Race ,6 Piston 355 /2 piece Custom Brake kits front and Back  Made up by the Team at BHSS / TBS in Capalaba. on the front and back axles.

Check out some of the cool improved Production machines that rolled out to produce some awesome crowd pleasing door to door action that had the Bathursts race goers begging for more.

Included in the role out are just some of our customers in the form of the “Nolan Finishes 144” Commodore with one of the “Clift” boys at the wheel,  and naturally  our favourite BMW in the form of the VARI  sponsored  # 95  of the Hurford Motorport  Gang which both have their brake systems set up and maintained by the Pros at BHSS /Tbs  in Capalaba QLD.

The IPRA  boys show the Bathurst Liqui Moly 12H crowd what door to door racing is all about.

Our long time customer in the form of  the  Midas #7  ( BMW  (E90)  V8  M3  ) of Justin Wade  of JW Motorsport  , battles it out against the boy wonder from NSW  , Jordon Cox  in his Bilstein # 2 ,  Honda Civic.

Jordan Cox had the crowd on its feet and hunting him in the pitlane with his go-cart antics.

Justin’s  M3  has been   running our First Gen ( GT Racing branded **  )  Callipers  with great success for some 4 or 5 Years now,

and you should hear this thing sing its easily one of the nicest sounds out there , truly the sound of German Engineering at its best.

Professional as  ever ………..Taylor Hurford Packing up for the day………while Team Boss Ross Runs the numbers in the transporter.

 

Vari Race Brakes Australia  visited  the team from Hurford Motorsport

for one of their final setup sessions at Queensland Raceway  in Willowbank ,for the upcoming  IPRA event at the Bathurst 12 H and got treated to a beautiful day of laid back friendly vibes  while walking the Pit lane and checking out the super cool bunch of Grass roots racing vehicles that make up such an important part of Queensland and for that matter Australian  Motorsport  fraternity.

Take a look at what a “non race day”  at the Queensland Raceway can offer in the form of entertainment if you just pop in and get to know some of the fun loving friendly folk that set their cars up on weekends .

The Guys at BHSS / TBS Capalaba have set the Hurford BMW E36 up with some Monster 617 FR (Full Race) High Volume callipers up front

and a set of Low Volume versions of the same Caliper on the rear , both running VARI 356 mm  Two Piece Rotors with our race specific  Voomerang  Slotting Pattern,  these boys are what we call …………..VARI…Serious  about  brakes.
